THE APPROACH
.jpg)
Nestling between trees on top of a hill, the house can only occasionally be seen amongst the surrounding countryside. It retains a discreet quality all of its own.
The approach to Quenby Hall is breathtaking as the house presents itself dramatically as you round a bend up the half-mile drive through the front park.
Guests are welcomed at the front door as they arrive for wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions in the house.
EXTERIOR VIEWS & FEATURES
The floodlighting provides for a stunning night facade.
The Old Dairy and Forge Bar are a few yards to the left of the main house, providing a country style space for winter festivities (January to April).
To the left of the house lies the Walled Garden, complete with statues, a summer house and dry moat, all accessed through an ornate wrought iron gate.
The Walled Garden provides an ideal location for the Garden Pavilion, with dining and dancing space for 150-200 guests.

THE BEDROOMS
Situated on the first and second floors and reached by the Oak Staircase, are the four double bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms.
There is also one single ensuite bedroom.
Angel Bedchamber
Steeped in history with an ensuite bathroom, featuring a four poster bed and carved paneling. The original carved paneling of this room bears mute witness to the harsh era following the English Civil War;the heads of the angels carved into the paneling of the walls have been crudely gouged out by over-zealous puritans.
Colonial
With an ensuite bathroom, featuring twin beds, and a fascinating collection of religious art from South America. The Peruvian colonial paintings and furniture in this room are a fascinating glimpse into the interesting history of the Spanish conquistadors and their European influence on Peruvian art.
Pomegranate
With an ensuite bathroom, featuring a four poster bed, original fireplace and stunning ornate decoration. Slept in by the Queen of Denmark, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester when they were guests here, this room is strongly Jacobean in style. The original dramatic ornate plasterwork frieze gives this room its name and colour scheme.
Chinese
With an ensuite bathroom, featuring twin beds, a window seat nook, and a wealth of Chinese artifacts.
The beautiful and detailed
Chinese birds and flowers on the walls have been hand painted on silk by Edith
de Lisle, making this one of the prettiest rooms
in the house.
